What: Fifth annual Million-Dollar Duck Derby
When: 2 p.m. Saturday, June 27
Where: Near the amphitheater in Lions Park, in conjunction with Frontier Refining Superday
How to donate: Buy a single duck for $5, a “Quack” (four plus one free) for $20 or a “Flock” (20 plus five free) for $100.
Ducks are available at Youth Alternatives/Special Friends, Wyoming State Bank, Unified People’s Federal Credit Union, First Education Federal Credit Union, Western Vista Federal Credit Union, Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union, Chick-Fil-A, Ruby Juice and Culver’s restaurant.
More information: Prizes include a first prize of $1,000 cash, a second prize of $500 cash and a third prize of $250 cash. One lucky duck could win $1 million, and there are dozens more prizes.
Who benefits: Special Friends is a program that matches adult mentor volunteers with at-risk youth.
